The company Kronospan UA
The company Kronospan UA is one of the largest manufacturers of wood-based sheet materials – laminated and sanded particleboard, and worktops in Ukraine. Our products are deservedly in high demand in Ukraine and CIS countries. Company supplies the market with MDF, HDF sanded and HDF lacquered, high gloss furniture panel HDD, Oriented Strand Board (OSB), laminated flooring, wall panels, window sills, accessories and other products of Kronospan Group.


History of Kronospan UA
The company's activities started in 2004, when the Kronospan Group began construction of the plant in the former cotton mill in the Novovolynsk.
During this time, much of the production facilities has been modernized and built some new ones.
The high-tech modern equipment - four chipboard lamination lines, raw chipboard and worktops lines have already been installed at the factory.
Kronospan completed the purchase of 47Ha of land for development of the plant.
Increasing of production volumes and development of new products to satisfy the demand for wood-based materials of Ukraine and other countries markets are the main targets of the company.


Investment activities in Ukraine
Initially EUR100 million was invested in construction of a Particleboard manufacturing plant, with annual anticipated output in the first phase of 300,000 m3.  Additionally, depending on future market and economical conditions, Kronospan intends further investment in Novovolynsk to enhance the capacity of the particleboard and worktops manufacturing plant, and also to supplement it with an MDF production facility and a resin plant.
EUR 150 million has already been contributed by the investor into the project.  Additionally, EUR 88,5 million has been pledged as loan capital by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Major reconstruction work including refurbishment of building structures to the premises is now completed. Modernisation of buildings and investment in power and gas supplies, the latter benefiting the local energy networks in addition to providing for Kronospan’s planned consumption, is taking place.
Kronospan will employ some 400 people from the town directly in this first phase of investment. In addition, the expected positive impact on the development of infrastructure Novovolynsk in services.


Kronospan Worldwide
History Kronospan takes the count in 1897 with a small family sawmill not far from Salzburg in the mountains of Austria.
By the sixties of last century, thanks to constant innovation and development of new materials, Kronospan has become the industry leader in the markets of Austria and Germany. Then a member of the Company has included several enterprises in these countries. And with the construction of the plant in 1970 in England dates back Kronospan investment activities worldwide.
Currently, the group Kronospan is the most significant European entity in the production of sheet wood-based panels.
Today, Kronospan manufactures wood-based panels at 28 sites and is represented in 24 countries. We employ over 11,000 people and our total sales are in excess of €2.7 billion per annum. Central Europe represents 56% of this amount.
